The Two Options for Adding Resolve to your Quest Fleet

Meta's Quest for Business Device Management Platform is used by businesses to easily manage Quest headsets on their corporate network. You can do things like remotely wipe devices, install wifi certificates and enroll devices into your corporate mobile device management system, like Microsoft Intune.

To allow your end users to download and use Resolve on your Quest for Business headset you have two options:

Option 1. RECOMMENDED: Allow users to download apps from the Meta Quest Store

Option 2. Manually add the Resolve app to your fleet of headsets using an APK file.

Option 1. RECOMMENDED: Allow users to download apps from the Meta Quest Store

Pros:

  • End users will always have the most up-to-date version of Resolve

  • IT will not have to update the App with every new update.

Cons:

  • You can only use this feature in Individual Mode and cannot use the Quest for Business Shared Mode. This means the headset must be tied to a user account.

  • Your users will be able to download any app they wish from the Quest store (this might be a pro as well!)

How to make sure your end users can download apps from the Meta Quest Store.

In your Quest for Business dashboard you can enable the ability to download apps from the Quest store in the Device Profile section seen in the image below:

If you click "See device profile details" you will see this:

Click "Edit" in the "Device Permissions" section and you will be able to enable or disable the ability for users to download and purchase apps from the Quest store.

Option 2: Manually add the Resolve app to your fleet of headsets using an APK file.

To manually add the APK to your fleet please contact your Resolve account rep for further instructions and to receive the APK file.
