Introducing the Resolve App Portal! A powerful new feature that seamlessly integrates various apps directly into the Resolve virtual reality experience, significantly enhancing both usability and productivity.

Below, you'll find a video walkthrough that guides you through using the Resolve App Portal, along with detailed step-by-step instructions. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Resolve Support at support@resolvebim.com.

Accessing the App Portal

Step 1: Look for the new icon on your hand in the Resolve interface. Hover over it to see the label "Apps."

Step 2: Click the icon using the blue trigger to open the app portal. Initially, it includes four app integrations: Autodesk BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Procore, and Newforma.

Step 3: Select an app to launch it. For instance, click on the ACC icon to open the ACC application.

Step 4: To move the App Portal window, grab it by reaching out and squeezing the green grip button. You can just place it where you prefer by releasing the button.

Step 5: Hover over any app to launch it. Use the thumbstick to scroll up and down.

Logging Into Apps in the App Portal

Step 1: Upon first launching an app, if you're not logged in, you'll need to enter your credentials.

Note: Press the 'Remember me' or 'Keep me signed in' to avoid repeated logins.

Using an App in The App Portal

Step 1: Now you can access documents related to your project. For example, if you have Procore documents you would like to view, go to the Procore application.

Step 2: This action launches the Procore portal and displays all projects accessible to your user account.

Step 3: Click on the desired project to open it.

Step 4: Use the blue trigger to select items. Navigate to your documents to view PDFs or other files.

Step 5: Click on a document to open it. If a keyboard appears for input, hover over it until it highlights green. Squeeze the green grip button to move it.

Step 6: Use the Procore controls to zoom in and out, and access all Procore viewer functionalities, including the search function.

Sharing and Managing Screenshots

With the new app portal, you can now take screenshots of your documents and share them within your model. These screenshots will remain visible in your model until they are manually deleted.

Step 1: To share a screenshot, press 'Share Screenshot.' This action will save the current screen image.

Step 2: Grab the saved image and pin it to your desired location in the model.

Step 3: To adjust the size of your screenshots, push up on the thumbstick to enlarge and down to reduce.

Step 4: To delete a screenshot, hover over the 'Delete' button, press the blue trigger, and confirm the deletion.

Using the App Portal in Mixed Reality Mode

Step 1: While in Mixed Reality Mode, bring up the app portal.

Step 2: Select an app to launch, such as BIM 360.

Step 3: Point at the desired item and squeeze the blue trigger to select it.

Step 4: Press "Share screenshot" to save the current image and place it in the room.

Step 5: Share multiple screenshots and place them in different locations.

Step 6: Grab and move the screenshots by pressing the green grip button.

The app portal in Resolve allows users to launch any of these applications directly inside the virtual reality application.
