You can now take quick point-to-point measurements directly inside the Lightning Viewer. Follow the steps below for desktop and iPad.
Taking Measurements on Your Computer
Click the Measure icon in the navigation bar.
Move your mouse to position the yellow circle where you want to start your measurement.
Click once to place your starting point.
Drag your mouse to the end point.
Click again to place the final measurement point and complete the measurement.
To reset:
Click Reset in the measurement menu, or
Double-click anywhere in the viewer.
Taking Measurements on iPad
Tap the Measure icon in the navigation bar.
Position the yellow circle where you'd like to start your measurement.
You can move the starting point using the look control.
When the starting point is correct, single-tap on the model with your finger.
Use the look control to move in the direction you want to measure.
When you reach the desired location, single-tap again to place the final point.
To reset:
Tap Reset in the menu, or
Double-tap in the viewer.
